Job Summary

As a National Project Manager, you will oversee crane rental operations across multiple large-scale jobsites, acting as the central point of contact for both clients and internal teams. This role demands a balance of hands‑on equipment knowledge, project coordination expertise, and strong customer relationship skills — ensuring every lift, delivery, and deployment runs on time and on budget.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage end-to-end crane rental projects from initial site assessment through equipment demobilization, ensuring seamless execution at every phase
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor equipment performance, verify safe operating conditions, and keep projects on schedule
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, coordinating crane delivery, setup, relocation, and pickup schedules with dispatch, logistics, and maintenance teams
  • Serve as the primary client‑facing contact for site superintendents, project managers, and general contractors — proactively communicating updates, resolving issues, and anticipating project needs
  • Review and interpret site plans, lift plans, and load charts to ensure proper equipment selection and placement
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and site‑specific requirements across all managed projects
  • Track project costs, equipment utilization, and rental timelines; flag scope changes or billing adjustments as needed
  • Identify opportunities to expand services based on evolving client and project needs
  • Maintain thorough project documentation including inspection logs, field reports, and client correspondence
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Skills
  • 3–6 years of experience in crane rental, heavy equipment, construction project management, or a closely related field. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • Working knowledge of crane types, rigging principles, and lift planning
  • Proven ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, field‑based environment
  • Excellent communication and client management skills with a solutions‑oriented approach
  • Proficiency in project scheduling tools and basic reporting software
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel regularly between jobsites
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred; NCCCO certification a plus
  • Strategic thinker with analytical acumen and problem‑solving skills
  • Results‑oriented with a focus of driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work outside of the office and travel as needed
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk, completing project documentation, and attending virtual or in‑person meetings
  • Frequent travel to and from jobsites, requiring prolonged periods of driving
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb, and navigate uneven terrain, elevated surfaces, and active work zones for extended periods during site visits
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and wet environments
General Duties and Expectations
