This position's duties may include:
Teaching Assistant (Lab TA)
  • Presenting an introduction to the physics concepts and laboratory techniques at the beginning of each lab session
  • Monitoring student progress and providing assistance and encouragement as needed
  • Keeping accurate records of student attendance
  • Collecting pre-lab assignments at the start of lab and post-lab reports at the end of the session
  • Responding promptly and effectively to student emails
  • Grading all assignments
  • Submitting grades to instructors in a timely manner

OR
Astronomy Grader
  • Grading assignments as requested by the instructor.

Other Requirements for the Position
This position is for students who have completed PHYS 1403 and PHYS 1404 with a grade of B or higher and have been referred by faculty for consideration.
