Lemonade Day is a national nonprofit with a mission to prepare youth for life through fun, proactive, and experiential entrepreneurship education. Since 2007, Lemonade Day has introduced over 1.6 million young people to the real-world experience of starting and running their own businesses, lemonade stands, where they learn to set goals, make plans, work the plan, and achieve their dreams. Youth are encouraged to spend some, save some, and share some with causes they care about.
Licensed in over 90 chapters across North America, encompassing more than 200 communities, Lemonade Day operates through partnerships with schools, youth-serving organizations, and local coalitions. The organization's annual operating budget is just over $2 million, supported by philanthropic donations, sponsorships, and earned revenue from licensed program materials.
Position Overview
Lemonade Day is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and service-oriented National Office & Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Houston headquarters and serve as a key driver of organizational efficiency.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes, enjoys building systems, managing logistics, and creating exceptional internal experiences for colleagues and partners. The National Office & Operations Manager will work closely with the national team to strengthen operational excellence, streamline administrative processes, and ensure staff have the tools, resources, and support necessary to maximize mission impact.
This position focuses on developing scalable systems, supporting organizational initiatives, coordinating events and meetings, managing vendors and office operations, and improving processes that allow Lemonade Day to continue growing its reach and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Office Operations & Administration
  • Oversee the daily operations of Lemonade Day's Houston headquarters, ensuring a professional, organized, and welcoming environment for staff, partners, and visitors.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, inventory, and shared resources to support efficient operations.
  • Coordinate facility-related needs, office maintenance, technology requests, mail, shipping, and storage.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for office vendors, service providers, and external partners.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain administrative systems and processes that improve organizational efficiency and consistency.
  • Maintain organizational templates, internal documentation, and shared resources.
Organizational Coordination & Team Support
  • Coordinate internal meetings, retreats, staff gatherings, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and logistical support to ensure productive and well-organized experiences.
  • Track organizational action items, support follow-through, and assist teams in maintaining momentum on key priorities.
  • Maintain calendars for organizational milestones, recurring initiatives, and major events.
  • Support board and committee meeting logistics, including materials preparation, hospitality, and event coordination.
  • Coordinate employee recognition efforts and initiatives that contribute to a positive and engaging workplace culture.
Financial & Administrative Support
  • Process invoices and maintain vendor records and documentation.
  • Assist with contract administration and organizational document management.
  • Track subscriptions, licenses, renewals, and key administrative deadlines to ensure timely action and compliance.
  • Support annual audit preparation by gathering requested operational documentation.
  • Provide administrative and project support to the Director of Finance & Operations as requested.
Event Management & Logistics
  • Lead logistical planning and execution for organizational events, including the City Directors Conference, Board Retreat, staff meetings, and national gatherings.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, registrations, accommodations, and event materials for staff and guests.
  • Manage inventory and fulfillment of event supplies, promotional materials, and organizational resources.
  • Ensure all event-related details are executed with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
Systems & Process Improvement
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures and operational documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve internal communication, and reduce administrative burden.
  • Support organizational data management and administrative functions within Salesforce and other systems as needed.
  • Recommend and implement solutions that enhance team productivity, operational effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Lead or support special projects that advance Lemonade Day's strategic priorities and long-term growth.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, communications, project management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in office management, operations, administration, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting multiple departments within a growing nonprofit organization strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing projects, events, vendors, or organizational systems preferred.
