Job description

Job Summary:
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. The Software Engineer in the Manufacturing Test organization will develop test executive software to ensure quality products across various platforms, focusing on automation and optimizing testing processes.
Responsibilities:
• Develop applications for Windows and Linux desktop environments that interface with and control physical test equipment, industrial automation, and data acquisition systems.
• Integrate cloud data and deployment features while maintaining user authentication and security.
• Generate automation scripts (python) for debug and prototype development, especially for interacting with hardware, simulating physical conditions, and capturing sensor data.
• Triage issues, root cause failures (including those related to hardware-software integration), and coordinate next-steps.
• Partner with end-users and manufacturing engineers to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with physical engineering constraints and test system capabilities.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Expertise in desktop application development with WPF and C#.
• Proficient in Python, ASP.NET, RESTful services with C# in AWS/Azure infrastructure.
• Hands-on working knowledge of a major relational database (DB2, SQL Server etc.) and/or NoSql.
• Experience working in CI/CD and designing and delivering DevOps automation for app deployment and testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary projects, integrating software with complex Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing systems.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred:
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Pursuing a Master’s of Computer Science or Mechatronics.
• Experience with test automation or cloud deployment tools.
• Familiarity with industrial automation hardware (e.g., PLCs, motor controllers, sensors, vision systems, robotics).
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing or developing software for embedded systems integration.
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and how they influence test fixture development and product testing.
• Proficiency with data acquisition systems (e.g., National Instruments LabVIEW/TestStand, Keysight VEE) and analysis of physical measurements.
