Credit Lead

National Fuel is seeking a Credit Lead for an outstanding career opportunity in our Finance department at our Headquarters located in Williamsville, NY. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform monthly analyses and control testing of the Company's Utility Accounts Receivable balances, including payments, collections, and other correlated trends; prepare monthly AR and analyses report for distribution
  • Perform monthly analyses of Company's bad debt reserve to ensure continued adequacy; forecast bad debt expense based on experienced history and current trends
  • Perform quarterly analyses of Credit Risk Assessment system to confirm adequate security amounts and verify creditworthiness of issuing financial entities; generate quarterly Credit update report for management
  • Oversee Credit team for analyses accuracy, regulatory and tariffs compliance, and credit guidelines and protocol adherence, with goal of protecting the quality and sufficiency of credit securities, both incoming and on file
  • Evaluate vendor creditworthiness by analyzing relevant financial data and preparing reports for management
  • Obtain and monitor security to ensure credit securities are properly documented, updated, stored, and prepare analyses, as needed
  • Manage monthly marketer credit reviews and expiring credit reviews to ensure compliance with tariffs and Company's policies and procedures
  • Assist in Company's annual budget process
  • Assist in developing procedures for incoming credit workstreams for Company's recent utility and storage acquisitions
  • Collaborate with Finance Management to develop enhancements to existing processes with a focus on improvement and creating efficiencies
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related Business field
  • Minimum of 5-7+ years of professional credit experience
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and complete departmental tasks in a timely manner
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Motivated to work effectively and collaboratively in cross functional teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials and SAP.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 โ€“ $100,000

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
