Job description

National Fuel is seeking a Labor Relations professional to support our growing operations in the Dayton, Ohio area as part of our upcoming acquisition of CenterPoint Energy. This position will begin remotely during the acquisition transition and will transition to primarily on-site support in the Dayton area following close.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role supports the administration of collective bargaining agreements and day-to-day labor relations activities. This role serves as a key liaison between management, Human Resources, and union representatives, ensuring consistent application of labor contracts, policies, and employment laws.
  • Act as a primary HR partner supporting labor relations across unionized operations in OH, PA, and NY
  • Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements to ensure consistent and compliant contract administration
  • Lead disciplinary investigations, grievance handling, and dispute resolution in partnership with management and union leadership
  • Support contract negotiations, wage administration, and ongoing compliance with labor laws
  • Partner with managers and HR to provide guidance on labor relations matters and employee relations issues
  • Travel periodically to Dayton-area locations, with occasional travel to PA and NY as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and leadership capability
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to present data in a clear and concise manner
  • High level of organization, documentation, and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience supporting labor or employee relations in a unionized environment

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $90,000. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.

The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience.
