Job Description:
Job Purpose
To assist with the operation of the drying process in an OSB manufacturing facility.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
  • Clean and maintain bark burner, dryers, dry bins, wood burner and fuel areas
  • Complete inspection of Bark Burner and Thermal Oil Heating and transferring system (checklist and inspection report)
  • Assist with managing reclaimed processed wood and fuel
  • Assist with Dryer process upsets.
  • Complete sampling for dryer moisture meter verification and Bark fuel moisture sample
  • Collect gas usage per shift
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

What do I need to be successful?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
  • Time management skills.
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.

Education:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Experience:
  • 3 - 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

Work Environment
Plant environment with exposure to sawdust, chemicals, extreme temperatures (hot and cold), and other inclement conditions.
