As an Event Manager at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you'll orchestrate every detail of meetings and social events, ensuring seamless coordination between clients, the banquet team, and hotel management. Your role will be pivotal in delivering exceptional experiences by communicating promptly and precisely, turning plans into flawlessly executed events.

Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. This award-winning, all-seasons destination features over 746 guest accommodations, the WELL Spa & Salon, two championship golf courses, fitness facilities, a ski hill and terrain park, and 9 unique food and beverage outlets. What will you be doing?

  • Coordinate meetings, social events, and special functions with attention to guest needs.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by handling inquiries, complaints, and follow-up communication.
  • Collaborate with the Banquet Manager to set service standards and provide banquet floor coverage as needed.
  • Develop client menus, contracts, and event details while maintaining strong client communication.
  • Organize pre-convention meetings and conduct property tours to promote facilities.
  • Maintain accurate administrative files, adhere to hotel policies, and keep updated on market trends.
  • Represent the hotel at community events, joining local and national organizations.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and high professional standards while supporting sales and profit goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

  • At least two years previous catering and/or hospitality sales management experience at a property of similar size and/or quality.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. College degree preferred.
  • Previous Delphi experience preferred.
  • Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong multiple project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze client needs and negotiate pricing.
  • Ability to work under time pressures and extended hours.
