Job Summary:

The Patient Registration Professional greets and registers patients and visitors, collects financial and demographic information, processes payments, and manages scheduling. They answer calls, assist with inquiries, and provide basic administrative support.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors promptly and courteously.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Register patients and verify/update demographic and insurance information.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars.
  • Collect patient payments and explain financial policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a 97% accuracy rating for patient data.
  • De-escalate customer concerns and provide support.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in safety programs and other required meetings.
  • Perform general office duties, including document creation and correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree or specialized training in medical administration preferred.
  • 1-3 years of clerical or reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
