Job Description
Position Title:Manager, Association Partnerships
Department: Council of Manufacturing Associations
Reports To: Managing Vice President, Association Partnerships
FLSA/Level: Exempt/Professional
Location: HQ DC
Position Overview:
As the Manager, Association Partnerships, you will be responsible for supporting key elements of the National Association of Manufacturers partnership programs with national and state industry association members. This role manages key functions including member engagement, member services and provides support for events and member convenings throughout the year.
The position requires an organized self-starter who can multitask and handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in support of the NAM's Council of Manufacturing Association programs and services. The position also supports the activities of the NAM's State Partners and Allied Associations (approximately 25%) as well as some Division-wide initiatives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Membership:
  • Maintain accurate membership records: including additions, deletions, name changes, title changes, email updates, deletions, and managing marketing preferences.
  • Manage incoming member queries and requests.
  • Facilitate execution of member surveys.
  • Manage member onboarding processes and ensure all timelines are met for onboarding deliverables.
  • Work closely with Managing Vice President and Executive Director to continually inform members of services and benefits of membership; assist with the execution of email and other marketing efforts.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics related to membership growth and generate reports to inform member engagement strategy.
  • Assist with member invoicing and due collection activities.
  • Track and help manage incoming speaker requests.

Board & Event Management:
  • Manage CMA Board logistics coordination including drafting board member communications, materials preparation, event scheduling and meeting facilitation.
  • Oversee speaker and program logistics and co-lead project team for CMA's semi-annual leadership conferences, COSMA annual meeting, and Association Partnerships Workshop.
  • Collect, analyze, and report member feedback on programs and events.
  • Lead coordination of association partnerships, events and webinars.
  • Provides administrative and project support to the CMA's various programs
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of all membership and communications efforts.

Communications:
  • Leads member communications coordination including creating copies for emails, marketing materials, and other materials as needed.
  • Drafts and compiles content for member communications, including weekly member updates.
  • Curates content and manages CMA social media accounts.
  • Maintains up-to-date CMA website with current events and activities
  • Other project support as needed

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years administrative/project management work experience.
  • Project Management experience is highly preferred
  • Must be articulate, well organized, and self-motivated.
  • Experience initiating and developing client relationships.
  • Experience working with Salesforce preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, negotiation, and resolving conflicts.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to balance multiple deliverables.
  • Commitment to providing best in class customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and deadline-driven environment.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, writing, and editing skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a cross-departmental team.
  • Ability to handle stress as priorities and tasks change.
  • Willingness to occasionally work nights and/or weekends
  • Light lifting required; must have the ability to lift and move 20 lb. boxes of literature and sponsorship/exhibit material.
  • Must be willing to travel to 3-5 events per year.

Salary Range: $74,000 - $75,000 annually. This salary range represents a good faith estimate of the lowest to the highest salary for this position. The final salary offered will be based on qualifications and experience.
