Experienced Asphalt Rakers

Rummel Construction is seeking experienced Asphalt Rakers. You should have experience working on paving projects and have the ability to work safely at all times. This is a safety sensitive position that is responsible for working around heavy construction equipment with knowledge of hazards, safety precautions, awareness, and of paving for a variety of projects.

You'll be working with scores of experienced employees who put safety first and work together to meet the day's goals. We typically work Monday-Friday, though some project schedules may require WEEKEND work.

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

As a federal contractor, compliance with federal drug-free workplace requirements is mandatory. Therefore, applicants must test negative for all prohibited substances, including THC, regardless of state laws permitting its use.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Identify and correct areas of asphalt surface that are uneven or defective
  • Rake asphalt to create desired surface texture
  • Perform other related duties as assigned (shoveling, clean up, general labor)
  • Work safely in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet, etc.)
  • Approx. 1+ years' experience in the construction industry
  • Experience in paving and heavy construction with knowledge of paving a variety of projects
