Hem-Onc physician needed in Rocky Mount, NC
Position Description:
UNC Cancer Care at Nash is seeking a physician to join a team of 2 physicians and 2 APP's. The ideal candidate has completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology and is BC/BE in Internal Medicine and Hematology and Medical Oncology.
This provider will see all tumor types but the team welcomes interest in sub-types, including interest in Gastrointestinal or Genitourinary conditions. Call will be 1:3 with very low volume, phone only.
The Danny Talbott Cancer Center is a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program which offers cancer services under one roof, including hem/onc, radiation oncology, infusion services, clinical research, and other support programs. The teams offer support from diagnosis, through treatment, to survivorship and comfort care. Patients benefit from the most innovative research and groundbreaking clinical trials of UNC's academic medical center and coordination of care between Nash oncologists and cancer specialists at UNC, without having to leave our community.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, the position will spend approximately 10% of their time in program development capacities, with special emphasis on enhancing access to clinical trials in collaboration with the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Nash UNC Health Care is a non-profit 272-bed acute care facility with award winning specialty services. UNC Cancer Care at Nash is part of UNC Health Medical Group (UNCHMG), a large multi-specialty group comprised of nearly 300 providers. Being a part of UNCHMG means a partnership with the UNC Health Care System. Our approach to health care is forward thinking and provides not only the stability of a strong network but also continued autonomy. UNCHMG practices have access to additional operational support, specialty and sub-specialty care providers and the health care system's electronic medical records system (Epic). Your patients will benefit from increased resources within our integrated health care system.
