Job description

This position is not about polishing social posts, tracking impressions, or maintaining content schedules. It is about building belief among families. Texas Sports Academy is creating a $25k+/year AI-powered sports-education model for students seeking both rigorous academics and meaningful athletic development. The brand narrative is still taking shape. That is intentional.

This role is designed for someone who can command a stage, appear on camera, engage parents, athletes, coaches, media representatives, and civic leaders, and deliver one unmistakable message: this represents a new category of school. Your task will be to transform student outcomes, athlete testimonials, and leadership insight into a narrative that every member of the organization can articulate with precision and conviction. You will then construct the infrastructure that validates itโ€”through profiles, video content, editorial pieces, data-driven stories, earned media placements, and public programming.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Develop the foundational narrative and tailored messaging for families, athletes, coaches, media, and policymakers
  • Create evidence-based student and athlete profiles, outcome data narratives, video, and editorial assets
  • Secure earned media coverage, establish thought leadership, and lead communications through critical moments
  • Serve as TSAโ€™s public representative on camera, on stage, at live events, in podcast appearances, and with journalists
  • Define the creative standard and ensure the team communicates with a unified, authoritative voice
What You Wonโ€™t Be Doing
  • Executing paid digital advertising, media buying, cold outreach, or performance marketing operations
  • Overseeing backend enrollment systems, CRM management, or admissions process workflows
  • Pursuing vanity metrics like content output, impression counts, or superficial engagement figures
  • Remaining behind presentations, committees, or internal review cycles rather than serving as the outward-facing voice
  • Managing curriculum development, academic program planning, fundraising efforts, or investor relations as primary responsibilities
Chief Brand Officer Key Responsibilities

Generate a sustained pipeline of families who comprehend and trust TSAโ€™s premium AI-powered sports-education model prior to engaging with the enrollment process.

Basic Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in persuasive public-facing roles
  • Experience owning the narrative and public voice of a startup, mission-driven organization, media platform, or comparable public-facing brand
  • Demonstrated on-camera and on-stage capability as a speaker, host, founder, journalist, creator, or public representative
  • Ability to construct brand narrative frameworks and audience messaging from the ground up
  • Skilled in adapting communication style across families, athletes, coaches, media, and public stakeholders
  • Practical experience using AI-enabled content production tools to produce or oversee high-quality content
  • Passion for sports and student athletics
  • Austin-based or willing to relocate to Austin, TX for on-site work
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice-to-have Requirements
  • Background in editorial work, journalism, broadcast media, communications, strategic sales, or creator-driven brand development
  • Experience translating outcome data into compelling narratives for premium families or high-consideration decision-makers
  • Proven ability to secure media coverage without depending on paid demand generation tactics
  • Experience holding senior leaders accountable while safeguarding message integrity and brand credibility
