A Narrative Designer is responsible for shaping the story, dialogue, and overall storytelling experience in a game. They collaborate with writers, game designers, and other developers to ensure that narrative elements integrate seamlessly with gameplay. Job description

We are a global technology group, headquartered in London.
We deploy experts and frontier technology, like AI, to help organisations thrive through change.

We have over 600 professionals (>75% hands-on technical talent) spread across Europe, North America and Asia, and are backed by Marlin Equity Partners.

We help customers to:

Work smarter - Building modern, scalable infrastructure, apps and workflows that actually improve your bottom line.

Engage personally - Creating digital experiences that capture attention, convert sales, and keep customers coming back.

Stay secure - Establishing the security, governance and compliance systems that protect you from threats, fines, and downtime.

We work with some of the world's biggest brands to solve their biggest problems.
From highly regulated financial institutions to fast-moving tech unicorns and global retailers.
Different worlds, same standard: we ship tangible outcomes into production, fast.
Then we work alongside customers to maintain and optimise them long term, upskilling their teams along the way.

Role Overview

This is a role for a visionary visual storyteller. We are looking for a Lead Visual Designer who loves pushing their thinking and taking it through to production.

You'll flex in your role from pitching ideas to crafting web experiences to ensuring successful delivery. You know how to make people fall in love with an idea, and you have the technical craft to turn that vision into a world-class web platform. You'll flex from abstract campaign concepts to designing the actual customer surfaces-from marketing platforms and digital products to next-generation, multimodal AI experiences.

Working with the likes of Google, Snap, and the BBC, as well as disruptive startups, you will ensure that every big creative idea translates into an amazing, high-fidelity customer experience.

As a Lead Designer at Beyond, you will:
  • Bridge Product & Marketing: Lead the creative direction for high-impact web platforms, seamlessly connecting product utility with powerful brand storytelling and market positioning.
  • Own the Pitch: Act as a creative spearhead in growth and client pitches, turning complex business challenges into visionary, narrative-driven design concepts that win rooms and inspire stakeholders.
  • Design Beautiful Experiences: Translate bold, differentiated ideas into world-class client-facing deliverables, focusing on UI design, responsive frameworks, visual design systems, and interactive prototypes.
  • Craft the Narrative: Create compelling presentation decks and prototypes, communicating the strategic thought and "why" behind your creative choices to C-suite clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work fluidly with UX designers, product strategists, engineers, data scientists, and copywriters to ensure conceptual ideas are grounded in technical reality and seamless UX.
  • Mentor & Elevate: Guide other designers, fostering a culture of bold creative experimentation, inclusivity, and continuous AI upskilling.
What We're Looking For
  • Creative Visionary - A proven track record of award-winning conceptual design, possessing the rare ability to see the "big picture" creative hook without losing sight of product execution.
  • Product Marketing Savvy - You understand how audiences interact with brands online. You know how to design web platforms that don't just function flawlessly, but actively drive adoption, engagement, and market excitement.
  • Master Storyteller & Pitcher - Exceptional client-facing presentation skills. You can visualize an idea rapidly, build an inspiring narrative around it, and pitch it with conviction.
  • Platform-Minded Architect - Deep mastery of Figma, visual hierarchy, typography, layout, and responsive frameworks. You build scalable design systems, not just one-off pages.
  • AI-Native Mindset - Confident designing for intelligent, adaptive, and context-aware systems. Enthusiastic about using AI creative tools to accelerate rapid concepting and prototyping.
  • Motion & Interaction Driven - Able to bring experiences to life and communicate interaction models through motion tools (e.g., After Effects, ProtoPie) or code.
Skills & Competencies
  • 8+ years of experience in digital/interactive design within a top-tier creative agency, design consultancy, or fast-paced in-house brand/product team.
  • Proven experience leading pitches and winning new business through visionary design concepts.
  • Strong portfolio that showcases:
    • High-level conceptual thinking and rapid prototyping.
    • Elite web platform design and digital product marketing experiences.
    • Exceptional taste in typography, color, layout, and data visualization.
    • Case studies showing how a creative concept successfully translated into a live, scalable digital experience.
  • Understanding of AI concepts (conversational surfaces, multimodal interfaces, agentic systems) and how to market/design for them.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and localization best practices.
Our Benefits

We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally. Here's how we invest in you:

Compensation and Financial Wellbeing

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Eligible to join first of the month following date of hire. 100% employer match on the first 5% of your contributions from day one, with immediate vesting
  • Life Insurance & AD&D: 100% employer-paid base life insurance at 2x annual base salary, with voluntary supplemental coverage options available

Health and Wellness

  • 20 days of annual leave during the first year, increasing to 25 days from the second year onward
  • Comprehensive Medical Insurance: 100% employer-covered premiums for employees on select plans (and 70% coverage for dependents) via nationwide PPO and regional options
  • Dental Coverage: 100% preventive care coverage
  • Vision Care: Comprehensive VSP plan covering annual exams, materials, frame, and contact lens allowances
  • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability
  • Supplemental Health Coverage: Access to Hospital Confinement Insurance and Critical Illness coverage with built-in preventive screening payouts

  • Collaboration sessions with customers and/or colleagues
  • Customer meetings and high-stakes pitches
  • Internal workshops, mentoring, and team sessions
  • Cultural and social events
