As a junior copywriter for Ninety6 | Progressive's in-house agency, you'll support creative development and write across marketing, advertising, customer, and employee communications. In this role, you'll translate strategic briefs into compelling copy that connects with various audiences across email and direct mail, long form content (blogs, landing pages), display, social, and more. You'll work alongside a team of experienced writers and collaborate closely with a creative director and cross-functional partners, including art directors, designers, producers, and marketers, to create cohesive work that meets business objectives and upholds our brand voice. You'll also develop subject matter expertise and your ability to adapt tone across Progressive and partner brands, balancing transactional (clear, functional) and conceptual (brand-forward) writing to drive performance and engagement.

Must-have qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of six years professional experience as a copywriter within an advertising or marketing agency
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, English or related field of study (Liberal Arts, Humanities, Advertising) and three years of professional experience as a copywriter within an advertising or marketing agency

Preferred skills
  • Strong writing and editingskills with demonstrated ability across in both short- and long-form content across email, direct mail, digital, and social channels.
  • Ability to adapt tone by audience and platform as well as balance transaction and conceptual writing that drives engagement and business results.
  • Strongpresentation and communicationskills, confidently presentingto key collaborators and influencing business and creative decisions.
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and continuously refine craft through collaboration, feedback, and hands-on experience across a variety of projects and channels.
  • Prior agency experience; comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, managing multiple assignments while maintaining a high bar forcraft and narrative cohesion.

Compensation
  • $61,300 - $81,700/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 24% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
