Description
The Gracias Lab / JHU is seeking a creative and highly motivated Post-Doctoral Fellow. You will drive impactful research at the intersection of micro and nanotechnology related to biomedical engineering. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge platforms and integrated devices for biosensing, microphysiological systems, microrobotics and biomedical engineering.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and fabricate innovative micro- and nano-scale biomedical devices.
  • Lead independent research projects from concept to experimental validation.
  • Publish findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, biologists, and clinicians.
  • Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Applied Sciences or Engineering related to biomedical engineering
  • Strong background in micro/nanofabrication, cell culture and biomedical engineering.
  • Hands-on cleanroom experience is preferred (e.g., photolithography, soft lithography, deposition).
  • Excellent record of productivity based on prior first-author and co-authored publications in good journals
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
