Job description

Start Date: May 2026

Location: East Longmeadow, MA

Compensation: $22–$28/hour + mileage reimbursement + stipend opportunities

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–9:00 AM and 3:00 PM–7:00 PM

Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours/week

Overview / About the Family:

A professional parent is seeking a warm, reliable, and highly organized nanny/household support person to care for her 8-year-old twin boys. This role is ideal for an experienced nanny or a student in OT/PT, education, psychology, or a related field seeking meaningful, long-term work with a loving family.

The boys are bright, engaging, and active. One child has Level 2 Autism and benefits from patient support with emotional regulation and transitions. The other child is thoughtful and sensitive, with occasional anxiety during transitions. The home environment is calm, structured, and health-conscious.

Responsibilities:

Childcare:

  • Morning and after-school routines, school drop-off/pick-up, and occasional bedtime support
  • Prepare meals and snacks
  • Support emotional regulation and transitions
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities and reading
  • Transport children to activities and occasional appointments

Communication:

  • Provide proactive updates throughout shifts, including photos/videos when appropriate
  • Maintain clear communication regarding routines, moods, and any concerns

Household Support:

  • Children’s laundry and light tidying
  • Kitchen clean-up and dishwasher loading/unloading
  • Grocery shopping, errands, and occasional meal prep
  • Maintain organization of children’s spaces

Additional Schedule Opportunities:

  • Optional overnight care on Tuesdays and Thursdays ($100 overnight stipend)
  • Optional daytime on-call household support Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM ($100/day stipend)
  • On-call availability requires ability to reach the children within 10 minutes if needed
  • Travel and overnight schedules provided at least two weeks in advance

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Comfortable driving children
  • Non-smoker
  • Able to pass background, driving, and reference checks
  • Confident working independently and managing routines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with neurodiverse or special needs children
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Experience supporting emotional regulation and behavioral needs
  • Comfortable collaborating with therapists, educators, and another caregiver
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to Boston-area appointments (mileage reimbursed)
