Job description

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Foxcroft in finding a Part-Time Nanny for their infant daughter. The family is seeking a nanny for three weekdays, totaling 20 hours. The schedule would include two days from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and one day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The best nanny for this family would be nurturing, attentive, and experienced. Each day, this nanny would be expected to provide attentive care for an infant girl who is happy, healthy, and thriving. Responsibilities would include engaging with her throughout the day in age-appropriate activities, reading to her, encouraging developmental activities like tummy time, and supporting her overall growth and development. The nanny could also take the child on strolls, to the park as she grows older, and age appropriate community activities such as story time. An ideal candidate will be patient, observant, and able to follow the baby’s cues, especially around feeding, as her eating windows can sometimes require extra attention and flexibility. This family is looking for someone who will provide loving, responsive care while helping their daughter continue to meet developmental milestones in a safe and supportive environment. Maintaining discretion and confidentiality is important to the family, and they would ideally like to find a nanny who will become an integral part of their childcare team, along with the parents.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

  • Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

  • Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

  • Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

  • Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

Household Duties Include (Child is the first priority):

  • Child’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

  • Child’s meal prep

  • Unloading/loading dishwasher

  • Wiping down kitchen counters

  • Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child

  • Emptying diaper trash

Pets: The family has a Lab who will go to training soon. The nanny will need to let the dog out in the backyard as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

  • Have a college degree or equivalent experience

  • Have a professional resume

  • Fill out a complete online application

  • Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

  • Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

  • Have a valid driver’s license

  • Have safe and reliable transportation

  • Have a minimum of three professional references

  • Be non-smoking/vaping

  • CPR and First Aid Certified

  • Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

  • This position starts ASAP

  • Legal pay is offered at $27 - $30 an hour, depending on experience

  • Continued pay while the family is away

  • Two weeks of paid time off

  • 3 Paid Sick Days

  • Paid Mileage for driving on the Job

  • Paid Major Holidays

  • Annual performance-based bonus
