Job Description

This position is responsible for maintaining databases by entering new and updated information as well as providing administrative support to the NANA Construction Accounts Payable and Payroll Departments.

*This position is based out of the Anchorage office* 

Responsibilities
  • Logs, compiles, organizes, processes, and summarizes many different types of data.
  • Operates or performs such standard office duties such as producing general office written or electronic correspondence, handling a variety of telephone and office equipment, observing proper procedures to handle records or other materials. Enter paperwork in electronic system either by data entry of by using optical scanners.
  • Operates in a climate of confidentiality requiring discretion.
  • Assists others with overflow work or special projects.
  • Will assist in the preparation of documents affecting the functioning of the assigned area.
  • Will utilize specialized computer systems and applications with unique applications being used at the discretion of the department. This position has no supervisor responsibilities.
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in accounting, payroll, and data entry.
  • Must be able to type 50 wpm.
  • Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate skillset with Microsoft Office Suite. Candidates will be required to complete a skills evaluation exam.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Basic understanding of database and filing systems.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Must be able to perform each of the essential duties listed above with a professional degree of competency.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
