Job description

SEWS — Farmington Hills, Michigan Office.  Although located at SEWS – Farmington Hills Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work.  Associates are required to work at least four days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.   
 
Job Title: Pricing Specialist III
 
BASIC PURPOSE:
 
Candidate will work closely with Sumitomo's Engineering, Purchasing and Sales team to generate pricing. The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while executing time sensitive deliverables is required. Support of company goals and business objectives.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Lead Role maintaining a Ford program by utilizing all Defined NABU tool set. (Smartsheet Updates MPP's).
  • Generating pricing for wire harnesses utilizing defined pricing models.
  • Manage pricing for all wire harnesses utilizing Sumitomo's internal databases.
  • Develop detail quote response for customer RFQ.
  • Work as part of a team to help secure future business.
  • Support internal cost reduction activities.                                                     
  • Assist in the development of department standards and procedures.                                                                                                                                             
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Bachelor degree in Business / Finance preferred, 5+ years Wire Harness Pricing experience will be considered as well.
  • Ability to read and understand North American Automotive OEM Wire Harness drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to multi-task, be self-directed, and experience with cost analysis/pricing systems.
  • High personal motivation and the ability to develop innovative alternative approaches to meet objectives.
  • Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task and have great attention to detail.
  • Excellent skills in math, data analysis, and use of PC and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrates ability to clearly communicate both internally and externally.
  • Effectively function in a multicultural environment.
