This position is within a unionized bargaining unit and union membership will be required. Assignment end dates are tentative and subject to change.

Position Summary:
This position is part of the NBA Social, Digital & Original Content group which focuses on identifying, creating, distributing and publishing content for the NBA's social and digital platforms, and its many domestic and international partners throughout the world. This position supports the NBA, WNBA, and G League. As the demand for content on the NBA's social and digital platforms continues to grow, this is your opportunity to grow with us in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Identify elements and potential storylines from NBA, WNBA, NBA 2K, and G League live games and tentpole events throughout the season from the NBA's Content Command Center (This will include nights and weekends)

  • Specifically, identify content for all NBA, WNBA, and G League social and digital platforms

  • Tag behind-the-scenes footage and historical footage in the NBA's digital archive

  • Operate the output of the NBA's "continuous broadcast feed" of live NBA game breaks for distribution across

  • NBA League Pass and NBA App

Required Skills/Knowledge:
  • Deep knowledgeable and passionate about the NBA, WNBA, and G League and their players, coaches, and teams

  • Knowledge of basketball analytics and the rules of the game

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, X, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Basic knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro and other content creation tools

  • Knowledge of video production and experience with Podcasts is a plus

  • Knowledge of pop culture and social media personalities who connect with key NBA, WNBA, and G League demographics

  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
