Job description

The Intuit Dome booking team is looking to hire a Manager of Special Events & Booking! In this role you will book special events at the Intuit Dome and other designated events with both sales and management functions, as well as work with existing clients and seek new business opportunities. These types of special events may include award shows, sporting events, e-sporting events, trade shows, speaking engagements, seminars, fundraisers, film premieres, television and film shoots, parking lot rentals, graduations, and family attraction events. As the Manager you will work with the Director of Special Events and our Venue Booking Department on bookings, ticketing, and calendar management for certain shows. You will work with all members of the Intuit Dome’s staff including Finance, Marketing, Legal, Ticketing, Building Operations, VIP Services and Production staffs in the management of events (including budgets, deal letters, concert/event and recording contracts and insurance, ancillary needs, settlements, on-sale calendar maintenance and ticketing management).

This is a full-time role based in Inglewood, CA and is eligible for our competitive benefit offering including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan with company contribution, Well-Being Allowance, and more. Due to the nature of this industry, you must be available to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover high profile concerts and NBA games.

What You Will Do
  • Respond to, track, and assess the viability of Special Event inquiries and potential for opportunities, including through all cold calls. Maintain existing business and develop new business.
  • Conduct outreach through network of clients to prospective events to consistently pitch the Intuit Dome for all Special Event needs.
  • Conduct venue walkthroughs with prospective and existing clients as needed.
  • Oversee the implementation of all secured event needs to ensure client satisfaction and retention including production and décor requirements, catering needs, staffing requirements front and back of house, ticket scaling and sales (where applicable).
  • Manage all aspects of financial and legal administration of special events including venue deposits, deposit letters, event budgets, deal memos, contract preparation/ execution and insurance certificates.
  • With the assistance of the Director of Special Events, negotiate financial and contractual terms and work closely with legal department in the preparation, administration, and execution of event contracts.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with corporations, sporting event promoters, e-sports clients, educational institutions, TV networks, charity/non-profit organizations, tourism groups and area event planners to keep the Intuit Dome top of mind when future events are considered.
  • Support community relations efforts in the local area and manage related special projects as assigned.
Your Background, Skills and Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years special event and/or major market concert experience.
  • Experience with Ticketmaster or similar ticketing system is preferred.
  • Experience in event budgeting and venue operations.
  • Experience in event management.
  • Knowledge of venue booking procedures.

Compensation
  • The range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 annual compensation.Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • The role is classified as exempt.
