Job description

Igniters operate in the world's most demanding environment. Igniters are self-motivated, mission-driven, and relentless in solving the Warfighters' hardest problems. We move fast, think differently, and execute with precision to tackle high-stakes challenges across AI/ML, space and missile defense intelligence, EMSO, advanced analytics, and programmatic domains.

As an employee-owned SDVOSB headquartered in Huntsville, AL, our team delivers mission-critical impact for the Army, Air Force, Space Force, MDA, NASA, DIA, and FBI. Ignite exists to outpace the threat and deliver results that matter in the moments that count. Ignite is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support data analytics, machine learning, and EMS data refinement in support of the Joint Electromagnetic Warfare Center (JEWC).

This position focuses on refining, integrating, and presenting EMS data from multiple sources, developing machine-readable export capabilities, and creating dynamic software models to enhance electromagnetic spectrum operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead efforts to refine and validate data housed in the EMS repository by identifying and addressing informational gaps, correcting errors, and ensuring data consistency and accuracy. Structure EMS data in a hierarchical format, linking unit, platform, and equipment EMS parameters to ensure operational relevance.

Develop and document data integration and gap analysis processes in compliance with DoDI 8320.02 and applicable DoD data governance standards. Enable EMS data export in machine-readable formats such as JSON or through APIs, ensuring proper documentation of export functionality and adherence to dissemination controls. Develop and validate dynamic software models of EMS systems with both geospatial and non-geospatial representations

Provide documentation detailing data sources, model development, validation processes, and system integration activities. Collaborate with technical teams, engineers, and operational SMEs to ensure EMS data products meet mission needs.Qualifications: Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance. Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field

Minimum of 8 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related disciplines. Minimum of 5 years of experience with software development lifecycle and methodologies. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.

Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data manipulation techniques. Experience developing data models and integrating data from multiple sources. Preferred Skills: Experience with EMS data or military electronic warfare systems.

Familiarity with DoD data governance and security policies, including DoDI 8320.02. Experience delivering data solutions for military or government customers.Qualifications: Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
