Your responsibilities

As a Senior Business Scientist at Ekimetrics, you will lead complex analytics projects for international blue-chip clients across diverse industries, delivering bespoke solutions and high-impact insights to senior executives. Your role centers on managing project teams to ensure outstanding data science delivery, maximizing client value, and meeting strategic objectives. You will also partner with Managers and above to engage clients, contribute to commercial proposals, and balance project profitability with excellence. Working in teams of 3 to 6 business scientists across multiple projects, you will be involved end-to-end from discovery and data analysis to modeling and presenting actionable recommendations as compelling, strategic narratives. Your responsibilities will include:

Business Operator:

  • Design and scope new projects by aligning the right analytical approaches to client questions, ensuring business cases are achievable and outcomes are within Ekimetrics' ability to influence.
  • Ensure the credibility and robustness of models and results while providing technical guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Drive flawless project delivery with high client satisfaction, proactively managing risks and issues, and presenting clear, actionable insights that enable strong adoption within client organizations.
  • Support client retention and contribute to new business opportunities by strengthening long-term partnerships and identifying growth potential.

 

Project Management:

  • Proactively identify and resolve potential project issues, working closely with teams to continuously improve client engagements and outcomes.
  • Retain top performers and support the growth of future leaders through active mentorship, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Foster strong team collaboration while contributing to the development of junior team members through hands-on guidance.
  • Provide visible sponsorship and active support for recruiting, retaining, and engaging diverse talent across the organization.

Ekimetrics Life:

  • Help lead our fast growth by contributing to local and global initiative such as Thought-Leadership, Knowledge Management, Recruitment, Culture, and Diversity teams, pioneering machine learning/AI techniques for the office, etc.

 

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in quantitative field (e.g., statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, economics, operations research, or MBA) with 3+ years of experience in data analysis, modeling, advanced analytics, or econometrics in a business or consulting environment.
  • Strong passion for data, deep knowledge of statistics or applied mathematics, and hands-on experience applying advanced methodologies (e.g., regression analysis) to solve business problems using tools such as Python or R.
  • Curiosity and interest in digital and marketing strategy, with solid knowledge of marketing and media strategy and the key questions faced by CMOs.
  • Excellent communication abilities, particularly in translating complex technical analyses into clear, actionable insights and compelling stories for diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated team-oriented mindset, management experience, and the ability to develop talent, build high-performing tams, and manage projects with strong delivery discipline.
  • Proven ability to build lasting client relationships across industries, enthusiasm for joining a growing firm, with desire to contribute to business growth.

At Ekimetrics, final base salary is determined by a multitude of factors and vary from candidate to candidate. Determining factors for base compensation include, but are not limited to, professional background, years of experience, and skillset. A reasonable estimate of the base salary for our NYC office is $110,000.
