Full-Time Contractor (1099)

JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Center for Children and Families is seeking a dedicated and qualified MYPAC Therapist to provide in-home therapeutic services to children, youth, and families. The therapist will work closely with clients experiencing severe and impairing psychiatric symptoms and behavioral disturbances. This role requires a compassionate professional committed to fostering positive change and resilience in the lives of those they serve.

SEE YOURSELF IN THIS ROLE:
You begin your day preparing for a home visit with a youth struggling with emotional and behavioral challenges. As you enter the home, you create a safe space where the child and family can openly express their struggles. Through evidence-based interventions, you guide them toward healthier coping strategies. Later, you join a team meeting to discuss treatment progress, ensuring a holistic approach to care. Whether responding to a crisis call or developing a person-centered treatment plan, you remain a steady source of support and guidance. You end your day feeling fulfilled, knowing that your work is making a real difference and that you are being compensated for the work that you do!

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The MYPAC Therapist should have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or equivalent degree required.
  • DMH Credentials (PCMHT/CMHT) are required, but may be obtained after start date/during orientation
  • Preference for candidates who are licensed or provisionally licensed as a PLPC, LPC, PLMFT, or LMFT. Candidates with a master’s in Social Work must possess an LCSW. Licensure is not required to be considered.
  • Experience working with families and children preferred.
  • Willingness to provide hands-on, in-home services.
  • Respect for cultural differences and families' rights to self-determination.
  • Strong crisis assessment and intervention skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • High standard of personal integrity and work ethic.
  • Knowledge of treatment programs, policies, and contract procedures.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with external agencies.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to The Center for Children and Families' mission and goals.

ACCOUNTABILITY:
The MYPAC Therapist is hired by the MYPAC Supervisor and reports directly to them. The MYPAC Supervisor is responsible for the performance evaluations of the MYPAC Therapist.

DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Core Values and Mission of The Center for Children and Families.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Support the MYPAC Director, Supervisor, and team as needed.
  • Conduct at least one weekly therapeutic session and monthly family session.
  • Generate and maintain case notes and treatment plans.
  • Develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans for children and youth.
  • Provide Crisis Intervention Services as needed.
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Provide consultation and support to other staff members as needed.
  • Submit weekly timesheets.
  • Maintain a caseload of 5-20 children/youth receiving MYPAC services.
  • Foster relationships with local and regional collaterals and referral sources.
  • Maintain specialized community services, clinical interventions, and family supports.
  • Attend weekly team meetings with the MYPAC Supervisor to review active cases.
  • Participate in staff performance evaluations.
  • Be available to respond to crises/emergencies 24/7 for each child/youth and family served.
  • Collaborate respectfully with all agency staff.
  • Attend all required trainings, meetings, and retreats as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director and MYPAC Supervisor.

PAY amp; COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
  • Job type: Full-time, independent contractor position (1099)
  • Caseload: Minimum of 5 children/youth, Maximum of 20 children/youth
  • Pay Rate: $70-100/hr (direct client contact hour)
