Job description

This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Community Support Programs; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach. The incumbent administers and guides a comprehensive marketing program for the installation and is also responsible for the planning, organizing, contracting, administering and monitoring of the MWR commercial sponsorship program.Qualifications:- Ability to effectively communicate in a variety of methods including written and verbal communications. Must be able to produce press releases, feature articles, work with military and civilian media and understand the principles of public relations. Incumbent must understand grammar, variety of media and military protocol. Incumbent must be able to develop and implement regional and local marketing plans to meet the needs of all segments of the MWR customer base.
- Strong knowledge of customer service, diverse and complex customer base. Incumbent should be skilled in evaluating marketing potential and proactive to researching and implementing marketing plans.
- Knowledge of a variety of principles, concepts and techniques of marketing, sales, writing, layout and photography. Ability to professionally represent the regional marketing office with media, sponsors, customers and MWR managers and directors.
- Knowledge of a computerized desktop publishing system, Internet, advertising and public relations principles and computers is desirable.Education:Four year college degree desirable with an emphasis in communications or equivalent work experience in a related field/discipline.Employment Type: OTHER
