Position Description
In this position, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to safely and efficiently load and unload Mutual Materials products, hard scape materials. This includes loading company trucks as well as customer vehicles.
As this is a customer-facing role, providing exceptional service is essential to maintaining and promoting positive customer relationships.
While forklift operation will be your primary duty, you may also be required to hand-load customer vehicles as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the yard, managing inventory, breaking down pallets, and handling shipping and receiving documentation.
This position requires outdoor work and is subject to all weather conditions.
On the job training will be provided to all New Hires by experienced Mutual Materials employees.
This is a full-time job, Monday-Friday. Overtime when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Similar/related work experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
  • The qualified candidate will have great customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a fast-paced distribution team.
  • Physical capacity to lift 90+ pounds on an occasional basis; able to be on your feet for most of the day; bending, twisting, and lifting are essential for this position.
  • OSHA certified forklift certification/ experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience with masonry products, stone and/or construction practices a plus.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week
