The Assistant, Tour Marketing will assist the Director, Tour Marketing in the Tour Marketing department. Ideal candidate has a strong interest in both music marketing and live music/touring, and learning about the intersection of the two. This position requires a communicative, detail-oriented, flexible, highly motivated and organized individual who can take initiative while learning on the job. The ability to multi-task is crucial as the role will see the individual perform high-volume administrative and marketing tasks.

General administrative duties include, but not limited to: heavy phones, scheduling and coordination of calls and meetings, maintenance of day-to-day agent calendar, note-taking for meetings and calls, preparing travel and expense reports, maintenance of tracking documents and spreadsheets, etc.

The Assistant will work with the Director, Tour Marketing to prepare pre-sales and on-sales for national and international tours in multiple time zones/territories and handle various tour marketing initiatives as needed.

This role will be in-person based in our New York, NY (Financial District) office.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain tracking documents and spreadsheets for artist marketing for all tours on the Director's roster.

  • Coordinate tour announcements and on-sales for upcoming national and international shows and tours.

  • Create marketing and ticketing emails to send out to promoters.

  • Collecting localized creative, marketing plans, radio proposals and ticketing information and materials from promoters.

  • Cross-checking all promoter social media and official website platforms as well as ticketing links, pre-sales and any VIP program implementation to ensure all information is accurate.

  • Act as a liaison between agents, clients/client teams, promoters and other external partners.

  • Assist in brainstorm sessions for creative marketing ideas to use throughout a tour campaign.

  • Work closely with the overall tour marketing department/team on creating presentations, submitting partner pre-sale requests, managing department interns, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Based in New York, NY.

  • 1-2 years of professional (or internship) experience working in marketing within the music industry.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Box, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Outlook).

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills. Proactive, reliable, resourceful and assertive when necessary.

  • Must demonstrate poise and tact and be able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to ever-changing priorities, and interface with clients and C-level management with grace while understanding and maintaining confidentially and professionalism.

Base salary: $47,500 plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role.
