Description:

Citizenship & Science Academy of Rochester Elementary Charter School is currently accepting applications for a Music Teacher (Grades Kโ€“6) for the 2025โ€“2026 school year.

We are seeking dynamic, collaborative, flexible, and engaging educators. We offer a supportive environment for new teachers and encourage experienced educators to apply.

New York State Certification is required.


Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the schoolโ€™s curriculum and New York State learning standards
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Common Core and state standards
  • Modify, redesign, and develop curriculum as needed to meet student needs
  • Collaborate with staff to align instructional goals, objectives, and methods
  • Prepare students for relevant standardized assessments
  • Apply strong content knowledge and effective instructional practices
  • Use data and analytics to inform instruction and improve student outcomes
  • Maintain a structured, positive, and effective classroom environment
  • Foster a love of music, creativity, and self-expression in students
  • Embrace feedback, accountability, and continuous professional growth

Qualifications
