Description

St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a Musician (Pianist). The pianist should be proficient and work with the Choir Director to support the music ministry and choir in their ministry. The preferred experience should include proficiency, some familiarity and at a minimum ability to adapt to playing Gospel music as well as a range of music styles as deemed appropriate in the various liturgies at St. Therese Church. The main source of music is contained in the Lead Me Guide Me Hymnal and music learned and influenced by conferences such as the Archbishop Lyke Conference. This position is part time.


Responsibilities:

  • Serves as pianist and assist Choir Director, cantors, and choir members in preparation of music for Sunday Mass and other liturgies at the church.
  • Coordinates with the Director, Liturgy and Music, Choir Director and Pastor.
  • Fosters reverence and participation in worship through music.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated musical ability and familiarity with Catholic liturgy.
  • Prior experience as a cantor or liturgical musician preferred.
  • Dependable, respectful, and faith driven.
