The company operates as a record label, distribution company, and entertainment network which generates over 15 billion music streams each month on DSP's. The company works with superstar artists, major and independent record labels, and global media brands. It operates a number of companies including Label Engine, one of the largest independent music distribution platforms in the world, with over 75,000 artists and 5,000 label clients; and Flighthouse, a digital entertainment brand focused on Gen Z, which has more than 300 million followers across social media. Create Music Group is based in Hollywood, CA and has 400 employees worldwide.
Job Summary
This role will support the Operations team within the M&A department by assisting with marketing-related initiatives for our label partners. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Operations, the intern will help execute and coordinate marketing efforts across content creation, creator partnerships, paid advertising, and performance tracking. The role is designed to provide operational support that enables the team to deliver marketing value, maintain organized workflows, and strengthen collaboration with internal teams and external label partners.
This is a part-time internship designed for current students for the Summer/Fall 2026 term. Interns must be eligible to work in the U.S. and available for 10-23 hours per week over a 3-4 month period. This is a hybrid-work role - interns must be able to report to the Los Angeles headquarters 2-3 times per week.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with creator/influencer/ curator outreach, rate negotiation coordination, and payment administration
  • Support content ideation and assist in content creation for marketing campaigns through our M&A label clients pipeline
  • Edit short-form and long-form social media content using tools such as CapCut and Adobe Premiere
  • Stay up to date on social trends/ trending audios & content trends across socials (focused on dance music preferred)
  • Help develop marketing proposals and campaign presentations for our M&A label clients exclusively
  • Communicate and coordinate marketing ideas with record label and partner teams
  • Track campaign performance using internal and third-party marketing analytics tools
  • Organize, manage, and maintain digital files and assets
  • Participate in internal and external calls; document notes and action items
  • Assist with paid advertising setup, optimization, and reporting

Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and digital culture
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive)
  • Familiarity with house, dance, and electronic music genres and culture (preferred)
  • Experience with content editing for social platforms (i.e Capcut/ Canva/ Photoshop...)
  • Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in a related field such as Marketing, Music Business, Communications, or a similar discipline
  • Prior internship or work experience at a music, entertainment, or marketing company (preferred)
