Iconic is home to some of the most important and acclaimed catalogs in music history, including those of The Beach Boys, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Nat King Cole, Linda Ronstadt, and others.
 
Position Overview
The Commerce & Insights Intern supports the promotion and performance of artists across digital streaming platforms by assisting with campaign execution, data tracking, and reporting. Working closely with both the Commerce and Insights teams, this role helps monitor projects, analyze streaming trends, and streamline communication to maximize artist visibility and commercial success. The intern will work alongside both streaming and insights to support workflow, communication, and reporting to help the department maximize artist visibility on all commerce platforms.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor top priority projects and compile outward facing activity summary including (but not limited to) project top sheet, playlist placement, and campaign recaps across DSPs
  • Weekly data gathering, organizing, reporting, tracking and analysis of streaming trends
  • Communicate partner platform updates and new programs internally
  • Assist staff on research, analysis, and trending of key projects
  • Assist in DSP optimization, page setups, and content error troubleshooting
  • Brainstorm and plan key content marketing opportunities for current projects that result in driving streaming and commercial revenue.
  • Work closely with Head of Commerce and internal marketing teams to collect assets for pitches
  • Assist on any ad-hoc projects such as pitch presentation creation and any unique project
  • Keep across trends and assess competitor marketing & streaming activities
  • Support the streaming & insights team on key initiatives by building research or presentation decks
  • Assist on any ad-hoc projects and general support to keep everything running efficiently
  • Co-ordinate meetings, tickets for gigs, travel and helping the team with general administration
 
Qualifications
  • Music/entertainment-related internships or interest in the streaming/analytics space
  • Curious about streaming and physical music and how it intersects with artist visibility, development, and growth
  • An interest and passion for the music business
  • Some understanding of emerging trends in the tech music space
  • Some experience with Photoshop & social media
  • Some experience with music industry data and analytics platforms, or interest and aptitude for learning
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail and be able to prioritize multiple deadlines and urgent tasks
  • A quick learner who isn't afraid to ask questions
  • Confident in interfacing with employees
  • Incredibly motivated, high-achieving person that is willing to learn
 Compensation 
  • Pay: $17.87 per hour
Location & Work Schedule 
  • This position is based in our Westwood Village office in Los Angeles, CA. Employees are expected to work onsite Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Fridays at the manager’s discretion.
