Position Overview:

Luxoft has one of the world's leading Murex practices. We are a top-tier Murex Alliance Partner and a market leader in implementation, integration, upgrade and migration. We provide end-to end project services and have delivered over 200 successful Murex projects across all major asset-classes and sectors including investment banking, asset management, corporate treasury and insurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Must know the following technologies: MxMLExchange, RTBS/MDCS, Datamart
  • Knowledge and hands on experience in implementing, developing and supporting various MX.3 proprietary modules for Enterprise Integration such as
    • MxML Exchange
    • Datamart
    • MX.3 Accessibility and Extensibility APIs (.Net, Java, C++, and SOAP/REST Web services)
    • Real-time bridging service
    • Market Data Cache Server
    • MX.3 Connectivity 2.0 framework
    • MX.3 Packaged interfaces including (but not limited to) MarkitWire, DTCC Global Trade Repository, MarginSphere, IceLink, FXAll, Market Data Import Tool etc.,
    • MX.3 End of Day processes and Trade Life Cycle Management using workflows engine. (At least 3 years)
  • Build new up / down stream integration(s)
  • Convert existing integration point with Murex version change
  • Development of MxML (Workflows, Exchange)
  • XSL / Transformation
  • Scripting (bsh, ksh, ...etc.)
  • Assist existing support group(s) in resolving integration related request or issues
  • Contribute to overall solutions as per project deliverables
  • Perform various levels of testing for assigned deliverables as well as participate in formal release cycles (SIT/UAT)
  • Liaise with technical team(s) -- when needed -- to resolve environment related issues and necessary enhancements in preparation for cloud deployment
  • Analyze, formulate, proposed, develop and/or contribute to overall solutions as per project deliverables
  • Perform various levels of testing for assigned deliverables as well as participate in formal release cycles (SIT/UAT)

Seniority: Flexible but preferably mid-level or juniors with some Murex experience beyond just trainings.

1. Provide professional services to Murex clients:

  • Provide services in the domain of system integration, business intelligence and data flows through the full lifecycle of the MX.3: requirements analysis, configuration build, installation, training, upgrade, and production support.
  • Professionally interact with Murex colleagues and clients.

2. Build, test, and provide support to clients on MX.3 integration modules.

  • Contribute to project implementations
  • Participate in design, build, and test phases sometimes remotely and other times at the client site as needed.
  • Develop trade workflows and interfaces to set up communication between external platforms and murex to receive trade and other data feeds, process them, save into the system, and send acknowledgement. Use a combination of MXMLExchange, MXopenconnect, Murex APIs, and Datamart to successfully deliver such solutions.
  • Contribute to functional documentation of the test cases and use cases by the client.
  • Contribute to Design documentation for the Build process of the Product.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end configuration management packages etc. Install, Deploy and test Murex packaged interfaces like MDIT (market data interface tool), Markitwire, BSMT and MarkitCredit to receive live and end-of-day data from external providers like Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit, etc.
  • Handle support cases from notification to resolution and validation.
  • Participate in the business as usual and project support: follow-up of client open cases through email, CRM portal, phone-calls and on-site visits
  • Develop an understanding of ongoing activities and manage own deliverables / progress
  • Manage bug fixes and enhancements with the Product Team


3. Integrate with various teams to deliver the right solution to client.

  • Work with S4C stream leads, Front-Office, Back-Office, or Risk teams to understand requirements and develop solutions for the client.
  • Work with the Product division team to provide them timely details on defects – how to reproduce the issue, project/client constraints, and how to validate the fix.
  • Follow up with the S4C stream leads, the Project Manager, and other teams to meet deadlines and regular meetings to make sure the delivery is on time.


4. Work with technologies including SQL, Unix, and Murex proprietary standards like Murex Scripting Language (MSL), XMLF, etc. for client solutions.

  • Use SQL for end-of-day report generation, STP (straight through processing) failure issues, P&L evaluation, for analyzing issues in trade feed and status Etc.
  • Java programming skills are not essential but are a plus.
  • Various Murex proprietary languages and formats: Data Query Language for querying in various screens in MX.3, MSL (Murex Scripting Language) for pre-trade logic, XMLF for post-trade flow processing, MxML in various contexts, etc.
  • Create shell/python scripts for automation of day-to-day manual activities.
  • Understand requirements, analyze the problem areas of the current system and behavior of pre- trade and post-trade workflow, and integration points.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 4+ years experience with Murex Datamart and workflows
  • Must know any 2 of the following technologies: MxMLExchange, RTBS/MDCS, Datamart, C2.0 Product interfaces
  • SQL; XML; MxML; UNIX; Scripting languages
  • Hands on experience with Murex MxML Exchange development
  • Knowledge of pre trade framework along with MSL scripting language
  • Strong Knowledge of SQL/RDBMS technology
  • Knowledge of XML/JSON and related technologies (XSLT), Java/J2EE, Python, or C/C++ or C#, and scripting languages such as UNIX Shell or JavaScript, Jenkins, CI/CD, DevOps, Maven, Git/Bitbucket, Apache Camel, ESB, ETL
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems
