Job description

The Director of Global Sales is responsible for leading the Global Sales organization and driving revenue growth through the development, management, and expansion of global corporate accounts across Aimbridge Hospitality's portfolio. This role oversees a team of Global Sales professionals responsible for accounts with business activity spanning multiple countries and regions.
The Director of Global Sales develops and executes strategic sales initiatives, strengthens relationships with multinational clients, and partners with brands, hotels, and internal stakeholders to maximize revenue opportunities. In addition to overseeing global account production, this role ensures the successful management and growth of brand-managed Business Transient (BT) accounts across the organization. The Director provides leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to the Global Sales team while supporting the company's overall commercial objectives.
KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and develop the Global Sales team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management to drive revenue growth and account retention.
  • Develop and execute global sales strategies that maximize revenue across multiple countries, brands, and hotel portfolios.
  • Oversee the acquisition, growth, and retention of global accounts with business activity spanning multiple countries and regions.
  • Drive performance and expansion of brand-managed Business Transient (BT) accounts across the organization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multinational corporations, travel management companies, procurement leaders, and key industry partners.
  • Partner with hotel, commercial, and brand teams to align account strategies, maximize market share, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Monitor account performance, market trends, and competitive activity to inform sales strategies, forecasting, and revenue planning.
  • Represent Aimbridge Hospitality at industry events, customer meetings, and other business development opportunities while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Lead and develop the Global Sales team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management to drive revenue growth and account retention.
  • Develop and execute global sales strategies that maximize revenue across multiple countries, brands, and hotel portfolios.
  • Oversee the acquisition, growth, and retention of global accounts with business activity spanning multiple countries and regions.
  • Drive performance and expansion of brand-managed Business Transient (BT) accounts across the organization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multinational corporations, travel management companies, procurement leaders, and key industry partners.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive hospitality sales experience, including leadership of strategic, national, or global account portfolios.
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth through business development, account management, and corporate partnerships.
  • Expertise managing multinational corporate travel programs, global accounts, and Business Transient (BT) business.
  • Experience navigating cross-cultural business relationships, international negotiations, and multinational procurement processes.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies across multiple countries, brands, and business units.
  • Experience partnering with brand organizations and global stakeholders to achieve revenue objectives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, analytical, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence executive-level stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, sales reporting tools, and revenue analytics.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
