Job description

Your future role at a glance

Location:  Salem, IN

Facility:  St. Vincent Salem Hospital 

Department/Specialty:  General Radiology

Schedule:  Full-time | Days | 9am - 5:30pm, Rotating holidays

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Accurately position patients, select parameters, and implement radiation safety.
  • Prepare for, perform, and assist physicians with special procedures.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (with correct markers and patient data).
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department environment.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
