Job description

Summary/objective

The Multimedia/Reporter Journalist will be responsible for presenting accurate, well-written, well documented relevant stories.

Essential functions

● Cover news events, writing stories, identifying stories and preparing for stories for broadcast.

● Research, checking for accuracy, generating enterprising and relevant story ideas. ● Travel to and reporting from various locations and gathering video and audio for stories as requested.

● Film stories in the field and ability to film solo or with other videographers team member. ● Edit raw footage and add lower third graphics to create a news package in accordance of Bronxnet guidelines and broadcast standards.

● Upload raw footage to Bronxnet Shared Drives

● Upload finished master files to Programming and YT shared folders. ● Knowledge of Trello Project Management tool.

● Knowledge of Google Suite

● Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or FCPX editing software.

● Knowledge of Frameio video collaboration tool.

● Access to internet in case remote work is required.

● Accept story assignments and pitch new story ideas.

● Adhere to Bronxnet Field Production Policy

● Help prepare students and aspiring journalists for careers in media as per Bronxnet’s educational mission.

● Performs other duties as identified by the Director of Creative Services, Production Manager and/or Production Coordinator in support of company goals and objective.

Required education and experience
