Specific Responsibilities:
  • Generate revenue through the sale of print, digital, specialty publication, and integrated marketing solutions.
  • Prospect for and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories and account lists.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and key performance metrics through proactive prospecting, relationship building, solution-based selling, and effective account management.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consultative sales practices and exceptional service.
  • Conduct customer needs assessments and develop customized advertising and marketing recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations utilizing audience data, market research, and product solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop advertising strategies, creative concepts, and campaign plans.
  • Ensure advertising is sold, prepared, and published in accordance with company policies, rates, contracts, and quality standards.
  • Accurately maintain customer accounts, sales activity, orders, and related information within CRM and company systems.
  • Follow company credit and collections policies and assist in managing account receivables as needed.
  • Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities to increase customer results, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Identify and recommend new products, sales opportunities, and process improvements that enhance customer success and business performance.
  • Submit required reports and maintain accurate sales and customer records in a timely manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and community networking opportunities.
  • Participate in the Great Game of Business and support company initiatives.
  • Adhere to all company safety standards, including general workplace safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in advertising, marketing, media sales, business development, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to prospect for new business and build customer relationships.
  • Strong sales, presentation, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a results-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office applications, and related business software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
  • Valid driver's license and adhere to company driving eligibility requirements, including proof of auto insurance.
  • Demonstrated alignment with company core values and ESOP culture.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer.
  • Frequent communication with customers, prospects, and employees in person, by phone, video conference, and electronically.
  • Regular local travel to customer locations, networking events, and company meetings.
  • Frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and printers.
  • Ability to transport sales materials, presentation equipment, and marketing materials as needed.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to attend customer events, networking activities, and company functions.
