Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager in the successful execution of a multifamily construction project. This role manages project documentation, coordinates communication among project stakeholders, and assists with both administrative and field-related activities to help ensure the project is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This is a 5–6 month contract opportunity that offers valuable experience in the multifamily and residential construction space.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in the day-to-day execution of a multifamily construction project.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including general construction documents and records.
  • Prepare, track, and coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure timely resolution of design and field questions.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including internal team members, field staff, and external partners.
  • Assist with project coordination activities to help keep work progressing according to schedule and budget.
  • Support field-related activities by gathering information, documenting progress, and assisting with issue resolution.
  • Help monitor project timelines and milestones and report status updates to the Project Manager.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe jobsite by supporting adherence to project safety requirements and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with or knowledge of RFIs (Requests for Information).
  • Experience with project engineering or project coordination in a construction environment.
  • Experience with or knowledge of general construction documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or at least 2 years of experience in project management or project engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in multifamily construction.
  • Experience in residential or multifamily project environments.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with multiple project stakeholders.

Work Environment

This role is based in an office environment in Louisville, supporting a project located in Cincinnati. The Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager and collaborates regularly with field personnel and other project stakeholders. The position follows a professional office dress code while also requiring occasional interaction with active construction sites, where appropriate safety attire and adherence to site safety practices are expected. The contract duration is approximately 5–6 months, providing focused exposure to multifamily and residential construction projects.

This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
