• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and psychosocial assessments, including mental status exams, to evaluate patients’ conditions and needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, identifying their strengths and areas for improvement while addressing co-occurring disorders.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions through individual, couple, family, and group therapy, employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
• Utilize electronic health record systems to document patient interactions, treatment outcomes, and progress in adherence to organizational policies, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals and referral sources, fostering a holistic approach to patient care.
• Continuously measure and assess treatment effectiveness and provide feedback on intervention outcomes to modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups to enhance community awareness and advocate for mental health resources.
• Participate in regular continuing education and staff meetings to promote professional development and share best practices.

This position serves a diverse patient demographic, including individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. By providing culturally competent care tailored to the specific needs and backgrounds of patients, the Licensed Mental Health Counselor plays a vital role in promoting mental wellness and fostering recovery within the community.

• A Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure in the State of Washington as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential.
• A minimum of three years of direct patient care experience in a clinical setting is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise clinical notes and intake reports.
• Strong time management skills to effectively balance a caseload and adhere to treatment timelines.

• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to various age groups and cultural backgrounds.
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
• Knowledge of integrated care models, especially in a community health clinic setting.
