Job description

The Role:

As Director of Training & Development, you will ensure that as we grow, we protect both sides of that identity: operational excellence and cultural edge.

You will architect and lead the entire training ecosystem across the organization โ€” from onboarding and immersion to leadership development and National Store Openings (NSO).

You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Culinary, and HR to ensure our training systems are scalable, measurable, and aligned with aggressive expansion goals.

Compensation: $80K โ€“ $90K + Relocation Provided

Travel: Extensive (NSO Support Across Markets)

Whatโ€™s In It For You

  • Own the learning strategy for a fast-growing, high-visibility brand
  • Build and scale systems that directly impact growth and guest experience
  • Lead National Store Openings (NSO) across multiple markets
  • Work for a brand that is performance-driven โ€” but never stiff or corporate
  • Join a counter-culture concept that values personality as much as precision
  • Relocation assistance provided
  • Clear runway for long-term leadership growth

This is not a maintenance role. This is a build-the-engine opportunity.

About the Brand

We are a fast casual concept built on quality, culture, and controlled execution โ€” but we donโ€™t do โ€œuptight corporate.โ€

Our counter-culture theme celebrates individuality, bold energy, and authenticity. We believe disciplined operations and high standards can coexist with personality, creativity, and fun.

We take the work seriously.

We donโ€™t take ourselves too seriously.

What Youโ€™ll Own

Enterprise Training Strategy

  • Design and implement scalable training programs for hourly team members, managers, and leaders
  • Build structured development pathways from onboarding through multi-unit leadership
  • Translate brand values, service standards, and culture into clear, practical training systems
  • Establish KPIs that tie training effectiveness directly to operational performance

Brand Standards & Training Restaurants

  • Ensure all training locations operate as best-in-class model restaurants
  • Partner with Operations to audit, coach, and elevate execution
  • Protect brand integrity while allowing personality to thrive
  • Serve as the subject-matter authority on standards, systems, and service model

National Store Openings (NSO)

  • Lead training deployment for every new store opening
  • Travel extensively to each area supporting new market launches
  • Recruit, certify, and mentor a bench of elite NSO trainers
  • Build repeatable, high-impact opening playbooks that scale with growth

You will be on the ground where it matters most โ€” at the point of expansion.

Trainer & Leadership Development

  • Develop powerful train-the-trainer programs
  • Strengthen coaching tools for GMs and Area Leaders
  • Build internal leadership pipelines that support retention and bench planning
  • Raise the standard of teaching consistency across markets

Cross-Functional Impact

  • Align training strategy with business objectives
  • Use performance data and field feedback to continuously refine programs
  • Champion a culture that balances accountability with energy and authenticity

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Proven multi-unit restaurant training leadership experience (fast casual preferred)
  • Extensive NSO support experience
  • Deep understanding of operational systems and service models
  • Experience building scalable infrastructure in a growth environment
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence without authority
  • Comfortable in a high-growth, high-travel, fast-moving organization
  • Someone who thrives in a brand that values discipline and edge equally

--If youโ€™re a training leader who can build structure without stripping personality โ€” and who believes operational excellence and counter-culture energy can coexist โ€” this is your opportunity to shape a brand at scale.
