The Restaurant General Manager duties include, but are not limited too:

  • Managing the operations of 2 to 4 locations
  • Managing the staff to help maintain and achieve restaurant targets and standards
  • Coaching the staff to provide excellent customer service representative of the A&W brand 
  • Monitoring and controlling labor costs and food and waste costs
  • Leading the staff to achieve service times and working as a part of the team
  • Spending reasonable amount of time every shift on the floor supporting and working with employees
  • Ensuring all food safety regulations are followed
  • Hiring, retaining, and terminating employees
  • Ordering and managing inventory 
  • Other duties which involve the day to day operation of a fast food restaurant

Job Requirements:

  • Some restaurant management experience - two years or more
  • Quick service restaurant experience preferred
  • College or University Education preferred
  • Food handling certificate
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Great social skills and love for interacting with other people
  • A leader and a team player
  • Basic English language skills
