JOB DESCRIPTION 

A position has become available in the Stewarding department for full-time a Stewarding Supervisor reporting to the Executive Steward and the Assistant Stewarding Managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Supervision of Stewarding staff
  • Assisting with departmental training and orientation of new employees and existing stewards
  • Monitoring of labour costs daily,
  • Delegating job tasks and duties to Stewarding staff as required.
  • Accountable to the Managers of any assigned task to each in every staff during his or her shift
  • Maintain time keeping and records!
  • Ensures adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary action if the need to arises.

JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2-5 years relevant supervisory experience in the Stewarding / Kitchen areas within the Hospitality industry
  • Previous experience in a unionized environment
  • WHMIS Certification is required.
  • Excellent organizational and written / verbal communicational skills are a must.
  • Availability to work the overnight shift starting at 10:00 pm
