Job description

The Senior Director of Operations โ€“ Drybar is the senior operational leader responsible for driving franchisee performance, engagement, and operational excellence across the Drybar system. This role leads the Drybar Franchise Support function and serves as a strategic partner to franchise owners, internal support teams, and executive leadership to improve unit-level economics, operational consistency, and brand execution.


This leader is responsible for managing and developing a team of operational support professionals, including Directors of Operations, Senior Managers, and Managers, while establishing a high-performance coaching culture focused on accountability, business growth, and franchisee partnership.

The Senior Director of Operations โ€“ Drybar will oversee operational execution of key brand initiatives, support franchise owners in achieving revenue and profitability goals, and ensure alignment between the field and Support Center teams. This role also maintains a reduced portfolio of strategic multi-unit franchise owners, providing high-level business coaching and operational guidance.

The ideal candidate is an experienced franchise operations leader with strong business acumen, coaching capability, organizational leadership skills, and the ability to influence franchise owners and cross-functional partners to drive results.

Location: Remote (United States)

Compensation Range: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00/annually. Offers to select candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience. 

Salary ranges reflect Colorado disclosure requirements. Compensation may vary by geographic location for candidates working outside Colorado. This position is eligible for an annual performance-based incentive bonus with a target opportunity of up to 20% of base salary, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Position Responsibilities:

Overall Objectives/Responsibilities, goals, expectations

Franchisee Performance & Business Coaching

  • Drive franchisee engagement, operational consistency, and unit-level economic performance across the Drybar system.
  • Coach franchise owners on revenue growth, profitability, staffing, membership performance, and guest experience.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop a team of Directors, Senior Managers, and Managers supporting the Drybar franchise network.
  • Establish accountability, coaching standards, and operational alignment across the team.

Brand Operations & Initiative Execution

  • Oversee operational execution of brand initiatives, programs, and strategic priorities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to support successful project management and rollout execution.

Franchisee Engagement & Communication

  • Build strong relationships with franchise owners through consistent communication, visibility, and partnership.
  • Lead operational meetings, webinars, business reviews, and franchisee engagement forums.

Operational Excellence & Analytics

  • Analyze business performance metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities and operational risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that support franchisee success and operational scalability.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular travel and field visibility across the Drybar system.
  • Participate in leadership meetings, strategic initiatives, and special projects as assigned.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Operations, Management, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of franchise operations, multi-unit leadership, or field support experience.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and developing operational support teams.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching franchise owners or multi-unit operators on business performance and profitability.
  • Experience supporting beauty, wellness, retail, hospitality, or service-based franchise systems preferred.
  • Multi-unit operational leadership experience is strongly preferred
