Cadence Inc., located in Sturgeon Bay, WI is currently hiring for a Machine Operator II to join our team on our 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday 3:30pm – 1:50am) which includes a 7% shift differential.

Cadence, Inc. is a highly ranked contract manufacturer with five U.S. locations serving the medical, automotive, and industrial markets. Our WI facility's core capabilities are precision metal stamping and plastic injection molding.

What will you do as a Machine Operator at Cadence?

The Machine Operator II operates and closely monitors punch presses, multi-slides and molding presses, completes secondary operations, conducts visual and dimensional inspection of parts according to work instructions, and packages parts.

The Machine Operator duties include:

  • Operates metal stamping machines, including high-speed punch presses and multi-slide machines producing parts to ISO work instructions.
  • Operates plastic injection molding machines.
  • Completes secondary operations including riveting, assembly, welding, or forming of components.
  • Visually and dimensionally inspects parts produced through the use of gages, optical comparators, microscopes, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Packages parts produced in appropriate containers and quantities.
  • Documents production information on floor inspection and tally sheets and tracks production quantities and labor hours through our computerized shop floor reporting system.

What are we seeking in the ideal candidate?

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, 5 years or more preferred.
  • Must be able to read and write English and possess basic math skills.
  • Experience in the use of precision measuring and inspection equipment is desirable; must be capable of developing the ability to read the measuring devices and visually inspect parts accurately to close tolerances using microscopes.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs, push/pull objects, and stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of Quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Must be flexible in working overtime to meet production demands.
