Salesforce Technical Lead - Backfill role

Below is the expectations on this role.
 
  • Take end-to-end ownership of Salesforce consulting engagements, driving requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support while ensuring complete issue resolution and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership by partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements, deliver Salesforce solutions, proactively address challenges, and ensure successful end-to-end closure.
  • Own Salesforce project deliverables from discovery through deployment, ensuring high-quality solutions, effective issue resolution, and successful business outcomes.
  • Take accountability for analyzing business and technical challenges, recommending Salesforce best-practice solutions, performing root cause analysis, and driving issues to complete closure.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of ownership, driving Salesforce solutions and production issues through to successful end-to-end resolution with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer success.
  • Deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, and Salesforce platform features
 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as onsite technical lead for Salesforce projects, partnering client teams to define, design, & deliver robust solutions.
  • Collaborate with offshore Salesforce teams to ensure seamless coordination, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Own solution architecture & technical design, ensuring alignment with business objectives & Salesforce best practices.
  • Conduct technical workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and code reviews with both onsite and offshore teams.
  • Design and implement scalable solutions using Apex, LWC, Aura Components, Flows, and Process Builder.
  • Manage DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with platform engineering and deployment teams.
  • Ensure adherence to security, performance, and compliance standards within Salesforce environments.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide technical oversight for complex production issues.
  • Stay updated with the Salesforce roadmap and proactively recommend innovations to enhance business value.
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 7+ years in Salesforce development and architecture.
  • Proven experience leading Salesforce development teams across onsite-offshore models.
  • Deep technical expertise in Apex, Aura, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce core platform features — Flows, Triggers, Validation Rules, and Custom Metadata.
  • Hands-on experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce DX, Git, and multi-environment strategy.
  • Strong grasp of Salesforce security, performance optimization, and scalable architecture patterns.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II certifications required; Application or System Architect certifications preferred.
  • Excellent client communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of integration tools and middleware platforms (REST/SOAP APIs, Mulesoft, etc.).
  • Experience with effort estimation, sprint planning, and release management in distributed teams.
