The Service Technician is responsible for keeping the appearance and operations of the property in excellent condition, both inside and out. Daily responsibilities include making ready units for new move-ins, performing work orders (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.), appliance repairs, unit inspections, updating logs as needed, and exterior maintenance. This role will respond to after-hours emergencies (on-call) as well.
What You'll Do...
  • Prepare units for move-ins with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting repairs.
  • Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager and report any emergency work orders in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance and on-call responsibilities.
  • Complete grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping such as mulch and sprinkler head replacements when possible.
  • Manage Snow removal (CO, KS, UT) or Hurricane Preparation and Clean up (FL).
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills and maintains clear, professional communication with residents, vendors and team members

Requirements
What You Need to Succeed...
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience required.
  • OSHA, EPA, and CPO license/certifications preferred.
  • Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
  • Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance is required.
  • If minimum qualifications are met during resume screening the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required. The assessment will arrive in the email inbox that you provided.
