Job description

As an intern at CBC, you'll gain hands-on experience and develop foundational skills across key areas of public relations and marketing. Interns have the opportunity to collaborate with our team, learning how we bring ideas to life in a fast-paced, creative environment. Throughout this experience, youโ€™ll work alongside industry experts and contribute as a valued member of the team to help deliver impactful work for our clients.


Our Fall Internship Program begins in September and runs through December. Interns will work a minimum of 20 hours per week, with an undergraduate graduation date of 2027 or 2028. This internship is for-credit and hybrid (occasional in-person team days in Boston).


What You Can Help Us With:


Public Relations | consumer-lifestyle accounts: essential oils, breast pumps, functional beverages 


  • Contribute to media strategy by developing proactive pitch angles, targeted media lists, and creative mailer concepts
  • Monitor and track media coverage, industry trends, and competitor activity across lifestyle clients
  • Research and compile award, media, and speaking opportunities for clients
  • Support planning and execution of CBC House programs, including vendor research, event logistics, briefing books, and social media monitoring
  • Research influencers and trends to align brands with the right audiences
  • Provide day-to-day support for account teams through research, project assistance, and resource development


CBC Marketing | CBCโ€™s personal social accounts and company voice


  • Create engaging content and visuals that elevate brand presence across social media platforms
  • Help shape brand voice through digital storytelling, including blogs, social posts, and newsletters
  • Assist with campaign planning and development of content calendars 
  • Monitor social media trends to inform content strategy 
  • Participate in brainstorms and contribute to creative strategies


Requirements:


  • Available 20 hours per week (Mondayโ€“Friday)
  • Creative thinker with strong organizational and logistical skills
  • Excellent writing, communication, and collaboration abilities
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with Meltwater, Muck Rack, Canva, and social media scheduling tools
  • Proficient in Outlook, Google Drive, and other standard office programs
  • Experience using AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT
  • Active understanding of major social networks (Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, etc.)
  • Previous experience with remote internships is a plus, but not required
