Pay Grade: Teacher Pay Scale

Pay Type: Salaried - Exempt

Retirement: TRS

Contract Work Year: 190 Days, 8 Hours Per Day

Reports to: School Principal, MTSS Coordinator and Any Other Assigned Administrator

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of bachelor degree in education.. Valid Georgia professional teaching certification. Experience in Reading and Math Preferred.

GOAL

Contribute to the successful achievement of the Dodge County School District mission and major system priorities by supporting the effective organization and operations of the school environment to optimize student learning, instructional programs and related activities.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Function: Works with school administration in carrying out the academic and Response to Intervention (RTI) program; understands and responds to the challenges presented by today's diverse student population and works cooperatively with the principal, MTSS Coordinator, counselor, nurse, staff, students and parents toward a positive school climate.

Performance Responsibilities

  • Implementing Behavior Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) team meetings within the MTSS framework in alignment with HB268 requirements.
  • Tracking academic, behavior, and attendance data to identify at-risk students.
  • Creation/maintenance of RTI folders.
  • Matching students to targeted interventions.
  • Overseeing the implementation of evidence-based Tier II and III interventions.
  • Facilitating and planning meetings between teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents.
  • Facilitating universal screenings such as STAR Reading and Math, Satchel Pulse, etc.
  • Tracking progress-monitoring data for intervention success
  • Assisting staff in using data effectively to adjust instructional and behavioral interventions.
  • Preparation of paperwork for SPED referrals (when necessary).
  • All other duties as assigned.
