Job description

Thread is an innovative, AI-powered workspace designed to transform Managed Service Providers (MSPs) into strategic partners through its AI Service Desk. By offering tools like chat, inboxing, automations, and AI capabilities, Thread helps MSPs streamline their operations and deliver exceptional customer support. The platform eliminates inefficient processes and reduces resolution times, allowing MSPs to focus on providing genuine value to their clients. Thread is dedicated to redefining the way MSPs operate to enhance both their productivity and client satisfaction.

The Role

We’re hiring an MSP Platform Executive to own and grow our most strategic MSP relationships. This is a high-impact, enterprise sales role focused on landing new high-value MSP partners and expanding Thread across the largest and most complex organizations in the industry. You’ll manage a portfolio of named accounts, including private equity-backed MSP platforms and large independent MSPs. You’ll operate as a strategic overlay, partnering with General Executives (GEs) and Account Executives (AEs), while owning overall account strategy and long-term revenue outcomes.

What You’ll Do
  • Strategic Account Ownership
    • Own and grow a portfolio of high-value MSP accounts
    • Drive long-term revenue through expansion and retention
    • Develop account strategies aligned with partner business goals
  • Expansion & Revenue Growth
    • Increase adoption across technicians, teams, and platform entities
    • Drive platform-wide rollouts and deeper product usage
    • Identify and execute expansion opportunities within existing partners
  • New Business Development
    • Identify and close new strategic MSP partners
    • Build relationships with high-value target accounts
    • Expand Thread’s footprint across the MSP ecosystem
  • Executive Relationship Management
    • Build and manage relationships with C-level stakeholders
    • Act as a trusted advisor on AI, automation, and service desk transformation
    • Influence decision-making across complex organizations
  • Complex Sales Execution
    • Lead multi-entity, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
    • Navigate platform structures and distributed MSP organizations
    • Coordinate across internal teams to drive deal success
  • Cross-Functional Partnership
    • Partner with GEs, AEs, and internal teams to maximize outcomes
    • Align account strategy across all touchpoints
    • Contribute to broader sales strategy and execution
What You Bring
  • 5–10+ years of B2B sales experience, focused on enterprise or strategic accounts
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in complex sales environments
  • Experience selling into MSPs, IT services, or adjacent markets
  • Ability to manage and grow large, named accounts with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience closing multi-threaded deals across distributed organizations
  • Strong collaboration skills in matrixed or overlay sales environments
  • Willingness to travel 30–50%

  • Culture: We’re collaborative, transparent, and driven by learning and shared success.
  • Ownership: You’ll have real autonomy — your playbooks and systems will directly shape how Thread scales.
  • Growth: As we grow the team and expand globally, you’ll play a pivotal role in building what comes next.
  • Team: You’ll join a group of passionate, customer-obsessed builders who care deeply about the craft of Customer Success.
