Job Summary/Key Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for setting up receiving export windows and cutoffs for assigned US Port Calls prior to vessel arrival.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures a fluid and efficient receiving of cargo at the terminal, avoiding:
  • Opening the export windows and receiving cargo too early
  • Opening the export windows too late, to make sure the cargo is loaded on board without any issues (e.g. issues with documentation, missing cut offs etc.)
  • Uses MSC USA proprietary IT system to retrieve, record and analyze information.
  • Escalates unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
  • Provides feedback regarding current corporate practices and metrics in order to support process efficiencies.
  • Presence required on-site 5 days per week
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Experience analyzing data and trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis in Excel, PowerBI and other reporting tools
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain environment (ocean maritime industry preferred)

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Languages other than English
  • Experience in International Environment is a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to commute to the designated office location
  • Presence required on-site 5 days per week

WORK AUTHORIZATION

  • Authorization to work in the U.S

This role requires working on-site in the office for five days a week, from Monday to Friday. There is no option for fully remote or hybrid work in this role, unless required off-site duties are being performed.
