Job description

Description

Chevo is hiring an experienced Senior MS Access Database Developer (BOB FMT Lead) to join our expanding firm. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client's business and becoming a trusted advisor.  Ideal candidates will demonstrate the versatility to understand and perform work related to maintaining and enhancing the Budget Operations Branch (BOB) Financial Management Tool (FMT), which integrates MS Access with MariaDB in AWS.


NOTE: This position is completely remote, staff supporting this contract may be located in the Kansas City and Washington DC metropolitan areas and/or surrounding areas.  


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads development, maintenance, and optimization of the MS Access front-end and AWS/MariaDB backend. 
  • Manages forms, queries, reporting tables, automation, and ODBC connectivity. 
  • Ensures reporting accuracy, daily refresh processes, performance tuning, and error resolution. 
  • Oversee version control, data integrity, user support, and access/role management.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Completed Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 8+ years MS Access development experience; expertise with MariaDB/MySQL. 
  • Experience in federal IT financial data systems and reporting automation. 
  • Strong SQL and database integration skills.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting USDA


SALARY RANGE: $100K - $135K (subject to change)
